ESA Letter Housing Evaluation
An ESA letter housing evaluation considers a person’s disability-related need for an assistance animal in housing. Housing requests may involve dogs, cats, or other animals. A housing provider reviews an accommodation request under applicable law and the circumstances.
Multiple Animal ESA Letter Evaluation
The multiple animal ESA letter evaluation considers up to three animals when appropriate. Each animal is considered individually as part of the evaluation.
Psychiatric Service Dog Letter Evaluation & Documentation
A psychiatric service dog evaluation is a separate clinical assessment related to disability-related needs and a dog trained to perform disability-related work or tasks. Documentation does not train a dog or establish ADA service-animal status.
Optional certificates, IDs, and registration
Georgia Service Animals offers optional private certificates and ID materials for convenience, and year-round support-animal registration. These products are not government credentials. They do not establish a disability-related need, guarantee a housing accommodation, or create ADA public-access rights. Check the application for current availability and prices.
Which evaluation fits your question?
For an animal accommodation at home, learn about the ESA Letter Housing Evaluation. For a dog trained to perform disability-related tasks, review the psychiatric service dog evaluation and ADA service-animal rules. Housing assistance-animal requests may involve cats and other animals; ADA public-access service animals are dogs.
What an evaluation or optional item does not provide
An ESA or PSD evaluation is not animal training. A private registration, support dog certificate, or ID does not establish legal status or replace an individualized evaluation. No document guarantees housing approval, public access, or a particular clinical conclusion.
