How to Get an ESA Letter in Georgia: Evaluation Steps

Start an ESA letter application online, review the evaluation options and fees, then complete an individual assessment with a Georgia-licensed mental health professional. Documentation is provided only when clinically appropriate.

1. Start the application

Choose an ESA Letter Housing Evaluation or a psychiatric service dog letter evaluation and provide the information requested in the secure Georgia-branded application. An application is not automatic approval.

02

2. Review the options and terms

Review the evaluation fee, service details, and applicable terms before deciding whether to continue. The current evaluation options are listed on the Georgia pricing page.

03

3. Complete an individualized evaluation

A Georgia-licensed mental health professional considers your circumstances and makes an independent clinical decision about whether documentation is appropriate. No letter or particular outcome is guaranteed.

04

4. Make a separate housing request when relevant

If you receive supporting documentation for a housing accommodation, the housing provider separately reviews your request under applicable law and the facts. A clinician does not decide whether a landlord approves the request.

ESA Letter Housing Evaluation or PSD evaluation?

An ESA letter housing evaluation is for a possible housing accommodation and may concern a dog, cat, or another assistance animal. A psychiatric service dog evaluation is a separate assessment; a letter does not train a dog or establish ADA public-access status.
